"Two eight-year-old children Heather Ripley from
Dundee Scotland, and Adrian Hall from Staines,
Middlesex, have been chosen to play Jenny and Jeremy
the children of Caractucus Potts played by American
Dick Van Dyke in Ian Fleming's childrens story '
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang'. The story has been changed
to become the biggest musical ever made outside
Hollywood. English-born Sally Ann Howes plays Miss
Truly Scrumptious. The children have been picked
from hundreds of youngsters all over Britain, and
they will film the parts with Dick Van Dyke and
Sally Ann Howes together with Lionel Jeffries during
their school summer holidays. the story puts them in
the middle of eye-popping adventures with magical
cars, giant airships and boats in fairy settings in
the South of France and ancient Bavarian castles.
